Teacher Training Program
Classes Offered
Yoga Jyoti was conceived as a Non-Profit Charitable Trust in February 2005 by two of Sri Desikachar’s students, Amala Akkineni & Salil Ganeriwal, to bring awareness regarding the ancient wisdom of Yoga, based on the teachings of Sri Krishnamacharya as taught by Sri Desikachar.

In an effort to uphold the teachings of Sri Krishnamacharya the focus at Yoga Jyoti has been on a one-to-one teaching methodology. This is based on the belief that no two individuals are alike so to have a common practice for all would be like prescribing ‘one pill for all’. Individual classes are held at Jubilee Hills & Saptaparni. Apart from these, classes & talks are also organized at institutions & corporate offices.

Using the different tools of Yoga practice like asanas, Pranayama, Chanting and meditation, our effort has been to create a sacred space for the participants to help unburden suffering and discover inner peace, freedom & joy.

As we move ahead in our journey we welcome one and all to participate in the various programs being offered and discover the treasure this ancient wisdom offers.

Our Inspiring Teachers

"The mastery of Yoga must not be measured simply by the ability to master certain techniques of Yoga like asana and Pranayama, but how it influences our day to day living, how it enhances our relationships and how it promotes clarity and peace of mind."
TKV Desikachar
"Teach what is inside you, not as it applies to you, but as it applies to the other."
